Drive the Invisible Postal Supply Chain

Behind the scenes of every neighborhood post office is a massive, localized web of logistical transport. We are seeking a highly reliable Local Mail Transport & Logistics Driver (often classified as an MVO or local HCR contractor) to act as the heavy-duty courier for the city's postal infrastructure. You will not deliver single letters to homes; instead, you will pilot a commercial box truck or large cargo van, moving massive, sorted cages of mail from the main airport sorting facility directly to the back docks of the neighborhood branch offices. This role offers highly structured, repetitive routes and the physical satisfaction of moving thousands of pounds of freight daily.

Transport Operations

• Facility-to-Facility Hauling: Execute highly scheduled "milk runs." You will drive a commercial box truck between the main Processing and Distribution Center (P&DC) and several local post office branches throughout your shift.
• Heavy Material Handling: You are the muscle of the operation. You will utilize heavy-duty pallet jacks to load and unload towering wire "all-purpose containers" (APCs) filled with bulk mail onto the hydraulic liftgate of your truck.
• Strict Hub Dispatching: The postal network relies entirely on your punctuality. You must adhere to rigid dispatch times, ensuring the neighborhood letter carriers receive their sorted mail exactly on time to begin their morning routes.
• Commercial Driving Safety: Safely pilot a large commercial vehicle through tight, congested urban streets, avoiding low bridges and mastering complex alleyway backing maneuvers to reach hidden post office loading docks.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old. A Class B or Class C commercial driver's license (or a standard license with extensive large-vehicle experience, depending on the truck size) is required. You must have an absolutely pristine driving record. Exceptional physical strength is mandatory to push and pull metal cages weighing up to 500 pounds using a pallet jack. A rigorous federal background check and drug screen are required.
