Operational Responsibilities
- Rail Yard Logistics: Safely navigate massive, complex railway terminals. You will execute precision drop-and-hook operations, picking up heavy, loaded international and domestic shipping containers directly from the railhead.
- Regional Distribution: Transport intermodal containers across regional routes, delivering the freight to massive retail and commercial distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and import/export hubs.
- No-Touch Freight: Maximize your drive time. The vast majority of J.B. Hunt Intermodal freight is 100% no-touch. Your responsibility is the safe transport of the container, not the physical loading or unloading of the cargo inside.
- Chassis Management & Safety: Conduct rigorous safety inspections of both the tractor and the intermodal chassis. You must ensure all container locking pins are securely engaged and air lines are flawless before hitting the highway.

Requirements
Must be 21+ years of age. You must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A). A minimum of 3 to 6 months of verifiable CDL-A tractor-trailer driving experience is required (J.B. Hunt also offers excellent training programs for recent CDL graduates in specific locations). A pristine motor vehicle record and safe driving history are mandatory. You must pass a strict DOT physical, background check, and drug test.
